This model takes Nansha Port as the hub port and the ports along the Pearl River inland river as the branch port, realizing "one-time declaration, one-time inspection and one-time release" for import and export goods.

According to the relevant person in charge of Midea Group, it was difficult for companies to estimate the time of cargo transportation and customs clearance in the past. Generally, the goods arrived in Nansha 5 to 7 days in advance. Now, under the "Bay Area One Port" model, it only needs to be 2 days in advance. After the goods are out of the warehouse, they are directly declared and stored at the dock, which relieves about 20% of the warehouse inventory pressure.

At present, a number of terminal enterprises in the Pearl River inland river have applied to Guangzhou Customs for the opening of the "One Port in the Bay Area". This project has been included in the "Opinions of the State Council on Carrying out the Pilot Work of Business Environment Innovation" as a matter of regional customs clearance facilitation reform, covering 14 areas. Next, Guangzhou Customs will implement 48 detailed measures to support Nansha to enhance the function of an international shipping and logistics hub, deepen the reform of logistics integration in the Greater Bay Area, further smooth the connection between international shipping and logistics in the Greater Bay Area, and stabilize the industrial chain and supply chain.
